Fine bubbles are categorized by size into microbubbles and ultrafine bubbles. Microbubbles range from 1μm to 100μm in diameter, while ultrafine bubbles are smaller than 1μm.

They do not float to the surface due to subtle thermal motion, and remain stable

Water containing a large number of ultrafine bubbles appears clear. Ultrafine bubbles neither rise to the surface nor dissolve easily without external stimulation, giving them a reported lifespan of several weeks to months.

They slowly ascend due to buoyancy and eventually disappear

Water containing a large number of microbubbles appears cloudy. Microbubbles rise slowly in water and gradually shrink and disappear as they dissolve.

The negatively charged surface of the bubbles attracts positively charged dirt and contaminants. It also draws floating oily particles in the water onto the bubble surface.
Water containing fine bubbles has reduced surface tension, improving its wettability and allowing it to penetrate even tiny gaps, ensuring the liquid reaches all areas evenly.
When bubbles collapse, they generate strong shock waves, causing significant pressure changes in the surrounding area.
Using highly oxidative gases such as ozone, chemical reactions are promoted to a high level. Insoluble ozone bubbles are efficiently dissolved in water, and the dissolved ozone sterilizes the water.
Ultrafine bubbles may enhance the concentration of positively charged nutrients around plant roots, potentially promoting biological metabolism.
